I'm not sure. Between work and being out of town this weekend I didn't get a lot of time to work on CC unfortunately. Tomorrow I'll be working late and hitting the gym again per my new routine so it may be wednesday. Depends on how fast I can knock stuff out with just a few hours a night.

1.39 is going to take a while. 1.38 was sloppy and rushed and I didn't put half the time into it I should have before release. I usually spend almost as much time testing as I do developing and this time I didn't. It shows, badly. The good is that I've merged all the works back into one project so I'm not going to be trying to splice from three sources. I'm also not going to rush it again.
I'm back so there is no need to rush.
Sounds fine to me. :) I can't wait for a divine spirit option for the paladins (P.S. I vote for Argent Fist in 1.40+)

Rage and Frenzy were already made instant in 1.38.
Minor Shapeshift has been changed to a 12 second cooldown, instant activated ability. This means you can get free temporary hit points (equal to your HD) every other round. This provides a good tactical combat tool.
New armors are available for previewing to those so included. You will need to use the debug console to give yourself the items.

Classes that grant skill bonuses to counter armor check penalties (Nightsongs) updated to account for the new script functionality in 1.23 (bonus will no longer increase the skill above the armor's penalty).
Don't forget Dread Commando has this as well.
Now the Summon Creature Spells works as in the SRD:
1) you can summon multiple creatures via multiple spells
2) in every spell you can choose to summon 1d3 of creatures from the immediately lower spell.

Eventually. It's not going to be in 1.39, I didn't have time at lunch to figure out where to drop it in and I kept forgetting to put it on the list.
1d6 Sneak Attack + 10d6 Epic Sneak Attack is working so I can grant an epithet feat for having 8 dice and change the epic line to allow 8 dice or the epithet. Means Rogue/Arcane Tricksters aren't screwed anymore. They can go for 8 dice and then take the epic feat line if they want.
1.39 eta should be next weekend if all goes as planned. 1.40 to 1.44 should all be relatively quick releases (roughly a week each). 1.45 is going to take some time since I will need to put all the GUI stuff together from several test projects.
Take your time, Kaedrin. A release without as many bugs means more time spent on the following new release instead of chasing old stuff around. :) I am patient.
Tonight is free and clear for me so I'll get as much done on 1.39 as I can an upload it.
I had two more issues reported I want to resolve before I go forward. From one person I'm hoping to get a character and another needs to clear his override and try just my pack.
I've had 12 issues reported I've gone through the last few days and only two were issues with my stuff. Better safe than sorry though, even if it does slow things down.

Ironically I don't need to do anything. The function to get a targeted weapon was updated and Forest Hammer uses this. However, I have specific code in the feat script to make sure that whatever the targeted item is, it must be a warmace. So I don't have to actually fix or change anything. It's good as is.
I am going to change the function for a future version to take in a int to include logic on *should* it target bracers or creature weapons in case something in the future shouldn't affect unarmed/creature weapons.
I've still got some testing to do but I'm free tomorrow (Monday's are bad) so here's hoping.
No rush. Better a few days later than having to fix a bunch of bugs like last time, right?
Yep. What's taking me the most time right now is building characters with the prcs needed to test the 8d6 thing. I'm not used to trying to build for multiple (and disjointed) classes so it's slow going.

K, will you change Eldritch Disciple to allow Dragonfire Adept to take it when you do that class, or will it always be restricted to Warlock? It could increase their breath stuff instead of eldritch blasts, I suppose? Just wondering. Either way, a Warlock / DFA / Cleric could take it and choose DFA for invocations, I guess.

I was just reading that in PnP Master of Radiance only progresses Turn Undead, it doesn't grant it. Is this a 3.0 vs 3.5 thing or was implementation only really possible this way. Just curious.
Whoever said that was wrong. The class does not require turn undead, it grants turn undead, and specifically states that it's level counts for determining effective cleric level. 0 + 5 = 5. So not having cleric levels means nothing. RAW.

That's where the bonus feats in 1.38 came from (the 25 and 30 abilities) and the ones for 1.39 are the replacements for the epic resistances. I'll eventually add the epic resistances but since you can take normal feats instead of them I decided to go ahead and give the bonus feats out now.

Woah, another new PrC? Verdant Lord? The only reference I could find is to a 3.0 version of the class intended for Druids (mostly), Rangers, and Plant domain Clerics. This looks like a customized version (being 20 levels) for 3.5E.
How about in 1.40 you add to the bonus feats list for Warrior of Darkness and Anointed Knight the new feats for ninja (the two Stalker ones).

I should have a beta up at the end of Tuesday night that has everything except the icon cleanup. I'll do the icon revamp (and any remaining telthor blueprints) on Wednesday. I plan to release the final 1.39 on Saturday barring any major problems.
I can't wait. I keep refreshing the WIP page seeing the new neat stuff and progress every day. :)
your project page looks a lot like various PW server ideas :) I really like the dynamic "demi-plane" that you as a player defend against heroes. I remember those games long ago that were like that and would be cool if updated and expanded into a new engine.
A few others peak my interest for various other server-like systems that would make GvE style plug and play easy.

A number of those were ideas for the module I was planning.
Somewhere around here I have notes on a construct system/project I had half done (at least script/item wise). I was thinking of a dynamic companion that could be added to any module that you would continue to evolve as you level up. You make choices (through conversation with the construct) on how to build and upgrade it. You could choose between choose upgrades like knockdown, regen/self-repair, ranged weapon or melee, stealth or heavy melee, which elemental spirit to infuse in each body part (each with a different effect), etc. Sort of a mix between Sacred 2's Temple Guardian and Supreme Commander with a dash of the construct in the OC (though much more developed) and a good, solid nod to the KOTR HK droid too. =)
It was going to be part of the module (the storage vessel for a companion's soul) but since there wasn't a female golem form I rethought the whole thing (though for a while I was tempted to do a construct for a male/seraphim for a female). That of course wouldn't work either since there aren't any items that would graphically fit a valkyrie/seraphim. I was torn between a vampire/dryad companion too. LOL I was essentially aiming for a Thunderbolts/Anti-Hero group of companions that banded together to stop a greater threat mixed with a personal story (with the primary companion).
A lot of the "projects" would fit in with just about any PW because I wanted them to be useful to both me (for the module) and for the PW worlds (and even for official campaigns as I was thinking of how to drop them in at a whim like the vendor in 1.39).
I guess it goes without saying I tend to overshoot the moon. :P
Edit: The other thing I had a frelling ton of notes about was the Dungeon Keeper/Overlord system staged in an elemental nexus. I really loved the old school Dungeon Keeper 1&2 and still despise EA for killing Bullfrog and Origin. The Overlord games have also been a hilarious and fun treat. The idea of trying to make "Dungeon Keeper 3" in NWN2 is actually *very* doable but likely beyond efforts/skills without a LOT of learning and a several year development schedule. LOL
I've been out sick today so I haven't even started yet on the work I need to do. I think I'm just going to catch up on some TV (still need to watch Castle, which btw, is the best show on TV at this time :P) and get back to it tomorrow when I'm not feeling so bleh.
Just watched Castle tonight myself… Im pretty sure your not me… maybe Im me and your you. Best TV show? Well if House gets to going instead of dragging. And Stargate Universe *feels* like it could go somewhere given enough time. NCIS is going well. NCIS LA less so but still interesting. Supernatural is good, but without serious somethings going down for more than a single show I wont be as impressed as last season. They need to start weaving shows together for it and make the story line stay in every episode. Smallville stopped being interesting a while back. Dollhouse is alright?
Oh and I hate Fox for canceling T:TSCC How do you cancel the best show you have going? WTF email got sent to Project FOX and followed up with a cancel on my account two weeks later after it didnt even hit their daily survey, "forum", or a reply.

Kaedrin never works harder than Kaedrin wants to work. I dont think showing our eager desire to play with new content is going to put any pressure on him that he already doesnt put on himself. The silly thing is he plays very little Nw2 most of the time and doesnt really hit PW servers. I keep suggesting to him that he pull the car over and play a month or so feeling out all the PWs out there that run his package.
hey just like me, i don't have much time to play nwn2 so i mostly just look at kaedrin's site and such at work sometimes
I ended up playing a few hours of MUA2 after a big push so I'll continue working on it. It tied up a number of the script elements so I think I'm doing to 5 script updates before I can do a beta.
How is that? I was thinking of picking it up but wasn't sure. Are you going to get the Psylocke DLC?
I'm headed to lunch in a nearby town but when I get back I'll wrap up the release. Just about got all the classes done, just need to finish the stacking levelup abilities and such.
I changed the Ninja's AC type back to Dodge so that it would stack (given how common deflection AC is). It's supposed to be an untyped AC (that works like Deflection) in PnP but we can't do that easily in NWN2. So for now it will be a dodge AC bonus which is lost when you are flat-footed (as normal). I'll look at a stacking rule system for deflection AC later (similar to the one I did for Natural Warrior's natural ac).
I'm a bit worried about the dodge AC cap with the Ninja but there isn't much I can do about it. +Wis as Dodge AC, +5 dodge AC boots, +6 class Dodge AC are the three primary ones. That means a +9 max from wisdom (though what Ninja is going to have a 28+ wisdom?) or multi-class dodge abilities.
Invisible Blade is done in the engine I believe so that only leaves the Tempest/Ninja. Even with a +8 wis item they would need a natural 20 wisdom to hit the cap (or 16 and the +2 from Tempest, etc). There's a little room for itemization but even if you come too close to the cap you can just use a different item instead of +Wis.
In truth, it also limits the Druid/Ninja abuse splash a bit since they will hit the cap pretty fast (meaning druids will stick to Monk for the +AC).
Ninja/Fist of the Forest could have cap issues but if you are focusing on Con you probably aren't focusing on Wisdom (since Dex is still the primary with Strength a strong secondary).
I figure someone out there will min/max it to the fullest at some point :) I figure most of the time a ninja even while taking other classes wont have much more than 14 wis (ranger/ninja or paladin/ninja). Druid/Ninja doesnt seem like that great of a combo, but I suppose if your into sneak attacking morphed as a bear you get what you get and you just use some other item.

Benefit: Your ninja, rogue, and scout levels stack for the purpose of determining your Skirmish AC bonus. In addition, your scout levels are treated as rogue levels for the purpose of determining your total number of sneak dice (ie, the progression is faster).
For example, a 4th-level scout/7th-level rogue would have a +3 Skirmish AC bonus (as a level 11 scout) and a +6d6 Sneak Attack (as a level 11 rogue).

I ran into a problem with the daggerspell shaper daggers so I may redesign the dagger claws ability to avoid the possible exploit. Similarly both of the daggerspells are probably going to get a tweak to the part where the dagger damage is added to the spell. Instead of full dagger damage (and all bonuses piled on it) I'm leaning on d4 + Daggerspell level (per dagger).
Dagger Claws will probably transfer the enhance bonus from the dagger and that's it. I may or may not allow the first (permanent) damage bonus to transfer as well, still debating that one. I will NOT put it in where you get +10 enhance/5d6 x 3 elemental damages per claw/addition to touch spells. Never going to happen.

I don't think non-enhancement damage bonus should transfer. Although I think if the daggers have Keen, Death's Ruin, or the like then those should be allowed.
IMO it would make sense to allow enhancements to carry over. If there are weapons with crazy enhancements available and a dagger-shaper would not be able to use those (while shifted) it is going to discourage use of them. That's how it is for druids right now. I don't think it would be unbalanced since the weapons are available in the first place? I mean every other character could use them…

You know you could always get someone else to do the blueprints for you if you don't want to do them. I bet that guy who is doing the animal companion pack on the vault could whip them out for you, he seems to be a fan of your pack.

Hmm.. Come to think of it.. If one were to use the special essences in motb like shadow of the void or shape of fire- that would likely incur the damage vulnerability. Not fair, sure, but that's what you get for having a super dagger. ;)

Speaking of a 2 month old post in this thread, if he decides to go with Dread Necromancer, I'm really curious how he's going to handle them becoming a lich at level 20. I'd like to see some sort of graphical change, but that might not be possible, easiest way would be to just give them the benefits without changing anything else, though.
Although, to be honest, if there was one (or two) that I'd really like to see come in from the 'Upcoming List,' it'd have to be the Dragon Shaman and the Dragon Lord.

The shared feats required for Daggerspell shaper and invisible blade would lead to some interesting builds. I dont know how far into the workings you are for this class. Would bleeding wounds work from a sneak thrown daggercast?
Or is it strange ranged touch magics thats impossible to tie in with the dagger damage, bleeding wounds probably only works when you actually hit with a light weapon.
The description from the wiki says - Bleeding WoundAt 1st level, when an Invisible Blade hits with a successful sneak attack, he inflicts a bleeding wound that deals 2 points of damage per round for 3 rounds. This damage stacks with previous damage caused by a Bleeding Wound attack. He must be either unarmored or wielding only light weapons in order to inflict a Bleeding Wound. At 3rd level, the damage increases to 4 per round, and at 5th level, it increases to 6 points per round. Each level of Bleeding Wound counts as one die of sneak attack damage for purposes of class and feat prerequisites.
Regardless of the class prerequisites, an Invisible Blade can use any light weapon to cause a bleeding wound (i.e. a handaxe or shortsword can be used, but not a rapier).
Bleeding wounds counts as normal sneak dice for my spell/feat based sneak routine.
First of all, a big THANK YOU to Kaedrin for all your hard work. I love the extra content for NWN 2, and I can't wait for the 1.39 update! (coming soon I hope!)
Quick question about the new Ninja base class: will the character model's default outfit be some sort of ninja uniform? Or something else? As far as I can tell, there aren't currently ninja-like clothes either in the OC, expansions or in the NWN Vault.

It will probably just be a black monk robe. I don't have any 3d skills to make new armor/clothes so you get what is already in the game (with recolors).
