Just thought I'd give folks a heads up. I've got the Elemental Archer complete and the rest of the update except for two things.

1. I still need to rework Reeron's SR fix for items (stripping all effects that have SR so several of my PrCs are hosed) in the Combined Module. It shouldn't take me very long tonight.

2. The Forest Master still has a ways to go. I'm not sure I can get it finished, tested and released in time before this Friday. I could get it released but any problems with the prc may not be fixed until I get back from my business trip on June 2nd (I'll be gone this weekend and all of next week, with only some internet access this weekend). Due to this I'm probably going to cut it and release 1.32.3 tonight.

OK. But, I thought you were contemplating a change in your EA PrC. Surprised that's resolved so fast, with no announcement, no less.

Those tweaks wouldn't have taken long to do. The class is finished in it's current incarnation and adding the other 3 options is simply pulling 3 feats and adding 3 spells. I'll probably retest/tweak tonight and release all versions tomorrow.

For now I'm going to leave it as is. If I extend it any I'll just make it a successor feat to replace the current and allow them to choose the element (balance can be decided then as well, as characters will still have the "chosen" primary element).

A thought occurred to me thaty mixes flexibility with choice - an EW/EA picks a primary focus element that the abilities will revolve around, but can also, at reduced bonus, use the two "adjacent" elements, but NEVER the opposite one.

1.32.3 is done for single player and I'll upload it tomorrow when I get home from work. Then I'll generate the MP version, update the non-English TLK's with the changes, and do the fixes for the combined works while I put that version together. The MP version and non-English will probably be tomorrow, the Combined works on Thursday.

Changelog:

  • Universal sword will qualify as a valid weapon for a Bladesinger
  • Stormsinger BAB set to Low
  • Exalted Wild Shape benefits removed when the player chooses to return to normal form early.
  • Armor Specialization bonus wrapped in a delaycommand function to eliminate application issues (also streamlined to only remove/apply when needed).
  • No really, Oaken Resilience only needs Plant Shape now and not druid 12.
  • Divine Champion gains the following bonus feat choices: Weapon Focus Falchion, Weapon Focus Warmace, Improved Critical Warmace
  • Exalted Natural Attack correctly gains 1d4 damage against undead and outsiders instead of 1 point.
  • Epic spells added for Bards (Epic Gate and Mass Fowl)
  • Tempest, Black Flame Zealot, and Shining Blade class descriptions tweaked to include an abilitiy progression table
  • Some of the new icons from Luckmann for the spell: Blood of the Martyr; feats: Acidic Splatter, Luck of Heroes, Clap of Thunder, Fiery Burst, Hurricane Breath, Invisible Needle, Minor Shapeshift, Sickening Grasp, Stormbolt, Umbral Shroud, Winter's Blast, Luck of Heroes, Divine Fortune, Divine Vigor, Divine Cleansing; and domains Illusion and Pride. Details to come
  • IPGetTargetedOrEquippedWeapon function updated to account for the _B creature weapon slot.
  • k_mod_start updated to set the module vars needed for cmi_options
  • Greater Two-Weapon Defense corrected to check if two weapons are equipped.
  • Castigate, Leonal's Roar, Mass Curse of Blades, Blasphemy, Holy Word will no longer injure the party (affecting hostiles only)
  • Clarified text for bardic abilities stacking with bardic prcs.
  • Assassin/Avenger now qualifies for the RDD
  • Blasphemy now correctly reduces the strength of an enemy
  • Blasphemy and Holy word now properly ignore death magic immunity for outsiders
  • Remove SpellResist check from RDD breath.
  • Palemaster gets the correct spell progression (2nd to 9th for 9/10 instead of 1,3,5,7,9 for 5/10).
  • Awaken Sin only affects evil targets
  • Epic DR increases now affect the Warrior of Darkness and Anointed Knight class abilities.
  • Fixed bug in Crossbow Sniper preventing it from adding it's bonus damage.
  • Fixed the bug in RWM causing the damage not to be applied and for stacking buffs to occur.

MP only issues fixed:

  • Leonal's roar has the wrong spell description.
  • Swiftblade spellcasting progression is marked as REMOVED when it should NOT be.
  • Stormsinger should be a LOW BAB class.

Kaedrin, please give either Tzell or I the instructions to turn this option off in MP. Our forums are probably down until Tuesday and I doubt you want to publish that here.

Just remove the cls_pres_dradis.2da file from the hak.

Assassins/Avengers are spontaneous arcane casters so they *should* be allowed in to the class but it also makes perfect sense to limit it for MP balance.

Hmm. Maybe I can/should make that an optional download and not part of the official pack.

That much I could have figured out, just wanted to be sure it was not others

Well wizards are arcane but they do not get access to it, only "pure known" caster sorc and bard are that way. I think Assassins/Avengers are book therefore fall under Wizards

With regards to palemasters getting the correct spellcasting level increases how would this affect existing chars on persistent worlds? Would it automatically boost there caster lvl?

I'm not sure to be honest. I didn't test a pre-existing Palemaster as this big of a change usually requires a de-level and re-level up of a character.

I do not use the SRD… As a bard does is why I do not use this as an option. The spells are cast spontaneously in a similar manner to a bard or sorcerer in the 3.5 revision; in 3rd edition they cast more similarly to a wizard. My PW is a Planescape 3.0 upgrade to 3.5 therefore my situation I being the DM makes this ruling… The 3.5 change was bad due to the fact that I never knew an assassin to "spastically" know a spell after at least 5 base levels into ones life. Seemed very odd to me indeed.

Then are you going to build a proper Assassin spell routines to be like bards? I can only remember the radial menus, and have not played one since.
based on CHA instead of INT then I would allow it more than happy to actually!

Err…

Assassins learn up to 5 spells a level. They get 5 spells per spell level feat which by it's very nature mimics spontaneous casters like Bards/Sorcs. Their spells *are* based on Int and they gain bonus spells for having a high Int. Short of a real spellbook Assassins are pretty damn close to the way they should be.

Blackguards are another story (shouldn't be spontaneous but is because of the spell feat limitation).
