Have there been any bugs I've missed that aren't on the 1.32.3 list? I'd like to get them fixed for this push.
I don't know if my problem with the Stormbolt targeting cursor is specific to my setup or anyone else has seen it as well ?
The Spell Mass Curse of impending blades either has a description error or a implementation error. The description says it only effects enemies within 20 radius, when it clearly effects everyone.
I'll check the pnp version and see if I need to update the script or the description. That's an OEI spell but either fix is easy to do.
Is the Stormbolt UI bug with the combined works or my stand-alone?
Standalone - I don't use the combined
Mass Curse of Impending blades is being fixed to only affect enemies (along with Leonal's roar).
Yume-kun - Can you elaborate on what the Stormbolt UI issue is?
The main probelm appears to be that the targeting cursor is wrongly oriented.
Taking Lightning Bolt as an example, the targeting cursor forms a line extending the effect's length, sticking to the character from a certain proximity.
Stormbolt's targeting cursor is offset by 90 degrees (appearing at right angles to what it should be) and does not display proper length, but the effect //will/ stick properly to the character on proximity (the screenshot I put in the thread is pretty explanatory to the precise issue)
I hope this clarifies!
I'm not seeing the screenshot in this thread. Is it in another thread?
Yes - I'll repost here for clarity:
Ahh, work is blocking images from your site it seems. Ok, I'll see what I can do about it. I may have to increase the spell effect to 30' like lightning as I made a 20' version of it and that's where the problems show up.
It seems that the Frightful & Draining blast are not being applied when you use the Eldritch Spear form.
Without spear, the target undergos a save, with spear, no save check.
I'm using the combined works btw.
Do you know if the game does this without the combined works?
I mentioned this on the KOW boards, but just for the sake of completeness the swiftblade speed boost doesn't work atm.
Is this the post where I answered with this?
There is a hard cap on 200% movement. Haste buffs you to 150%.
What I did for the Swiftblade (level 7+) was add an 33% of the 50% buff to haste (167% final). At level 10 a swiftblade gets a bonus 66% of the 50% for a total of 183%.
Until you get to 10th I doubt you notice the difference of 150% vs 167%.
If so you probably won't see the difference between haste (50%) and the Swiftblade bonus (67%) until you get to 10th in Swiftblade (83%). The Dash feat (since it's supposed to stack I think) may make the difference even less noticeable.
If not I'll take another look but it was working as well as it can the last I looked.
With regards to the Swiftblade, I have a level 10 Swiftblade on LDoA and I don't see the haste bonus working either. That is, my speed is the same before and after I cast haste on myself.
I can try setting it to 100% and testing that but frankly if the 83% doesn't work then I don't suspect that will either.
If it doesn't I'll just pull the speed buff part completely from the Swiftblade as there isn't anything I can do to fix it.
No, the eldritch spear / Essence bug appears to only be in your pack.
Worse yet, it seems that hideous blow is also borked. It applies the visual effect, but does not apply the damage or the essence effect when I hit a target. This error is also not in the original OC, just your pack.
sigh, never mind. Once I removed everything from the folder, ran the game, exited, reinstalled your mod & replayed everything (spear & hideous blow) seems to work.
Can someone try Crossbow Sniper and Ranged Weapon Mastery and let me know if they work or don't work for them?
about the haste + swiftblade thing, I tested this with a friend. We had a race from one end of a map to the other. My lvl 10 sb ran at the exact same speed, it was obvious there was no speed boost compared to the other guy who was just using "regular" haste. The 2 characters remained the exact same distance apart when racing one another across the map.
So it wasn't scientific, but I'm 99.9% positive the speed boost isn't working. Afaik my sb character actually managed to lose the race due to me clicking the old mouse a split second after my buddy :P
This weekend I'll put up a 100% movement buff version on this page you guys can download and retry the test with. If that doesn't work then I'm pulling the speed buff.
On a different note, should flee the sceen still give the party an speed boost once the haste effect is over? It's not in the description.
I haven't touched Flee the Scene so this sounds like a problem with OEI's version *unless* you are using the combined works and Reeron made a change. Which pack are you using?
Using the combine works. I combed through Reeron's list of changes and found where he changed it. He just didn't document it in game. I already sent him a message about it:).
Cool. The warlock stuff is going to be interesting to merge between our works.
Thanks for all the hard work, Kae
I tried to make a Cleric with the War domain and take the Holy Warrior feat (the one that lets them do extra damage based
on having prepared War domain spells. I couldn't get the extra damage to work. It doesn't show up on the character
sheet and in testing damage, I was never able to do any more than what would be the normal maximum.
Is this with my stand-alone or the combined works?
Edit: It works fine for me in my stand-alone. I memorized Flame Strike, activated the Holy Warrior feat, and got the +5 divine damage bonus.
You need to activate the feat to get the bonus and it will then show up on your character sheet. After activated the bonus will stay as long as you have a valid spell memorized in the list (feat description tells which spells are valid). When it is turned off due to not having any spells left you get a message and just need to re-activate the feat once you have rested.
Uh, I'm stoopid. Once I put the feat in my quickbar and activated it, it worked fine :)
*slinks away embarassedly*
No worries, I'd rather check for something and find it working than find it broke. ;)
Once I move to the heartbeat system this feat will become automatic and the feat description updated to indicate it. I'll add a "Use: Activated" note to the current feat description until then.
