The Tierdrial module uses the 4th edition rules as best as can be adapted to NWN2.
Custom world with new deities.
It includes levels 1-10. This may be adjusted down to balance out the workload and feel of the module.
Classes: Cleric (Leader), Paladin (Defender), Ranger (Striker), Wizard (Controller)
Races: Dragonborn, Dusk Elves (Drow), Dwarf, Tierdrian (Eladrin), Elf, Half-Elf, Human
Full item support from the PH
No Ritual Magic
Adaption Note: Player Characters are slightly stronger due to the 32 point buy in 3.5 being stronger than 4.0 (2 attributes at +1 over 4.0's rules)
Adaption Note: Retraining will probably not be in due to heavy GUI XML use
Two things are seriously needed for this to get off the ground:
- Instant Feats
- Experience with creating GUIs for NWN2
The level range for the project is 1-10 so only the first 10 levels will be implemented.
If we get instant feats this project will be done using the 4E rules with the following classes:
Cleric (Leader), Paladin (Defender), Ranger (Striker), Wizard (Controller), Rogue (Striker)
***
If not it will use a custom class system as follows:
Warrior, Druid, Cleric, Rogue, Leader, Wizard
At 5th level each class will choose a focus that will allow them to specialize in an area of the class while gaining new abilities.
Warriors chooses between Barbarian (2h weapon focus), Swashbuckler (two weapon focus), and Warrior (weapon and shield). All warrior specialists have the basic ability to use combat maneuvers and stances.
Druids chooses between Ranger (balanced mix of nature magic, archery, and dual weapons), Hunter (heavy archery focus with limited nature magic), and Druid (heavy nature magic focus with wildshape abilities). All druid specialists have the basic ability to buff and use nature magic.
Wizards choose between Elementalist (elemental magic and pets focus), Necromancers (death magic and undead minions focus), and Wizard (conjuration and abjuration focus). All wizard specialists have the basic ability to summon a companion and wield mighty arcane spells.
Rogues choose between Assassin (special poisons and heavy combat focus), Infiltrators (stealth and traps focus), and Rogues (balanced approach to combat, stealth, and tricks). All rogue specialists have the basic ability to sneak about and employ tricks and traps.
Leaders choose between Commander (inspirations and talents focus on combat), Bard (magic and enchantment focus), and Leaders (added companions and inspirations that bolster allies). All leader specialists have the basic ability to inspire their party and cast some bardic spells.
Clerics choose between Healers (focus on healing and buffing), Champions (martial focus), and Clerics (offensive magic focus). All clerics specialists have the basic ability to heal, buff, and wield divine combat spells.
The World of Tierdrial
Greetings and welcome to the world of Tierdrial (pronounced: teer-dree-all). It is a land steeped in history and fraught with ancient conflict, much of which remains poorly documented. Tierdrial is primarily dominated by a single yet massive continent teeming with both life and un-life. There are a few other small continents and island chains but these have rarely been found to be occupied by intelligent life. Arion, the continent upon which the story is focused, is found in the northern hemisphere of Tierdrial.
Tierdrial is one of five celestial bodies orbiting the sun and has two moons that grace her shadow. The moons are said to be named after the sisters Dulce (sweet) and Moira (bitter) who healed the rift between the first powers. Few in Tierdrial actually refer to either moon by name, simply referring to them as the moons above. While the meaning of Tierdrial is commonly attributed to mean “Dragonsbane”, the original meaning of has been lost to the ages.
